I have a new product, Invention, who can I trust to help?
Posted by shula on May 9, 2010I have an Idea for 2 new products. I have spoken with friends and family and they feel it is worth pursuing. I would like to run my product idea by someone I could trust not to steal it and would tell me how to proceed? I have no funds to startup. I am a Vietnam Era Vet. Thanks!

Take a look at the bellow website, or call to find out how they can help. You wont regret it!
Good luck.....

We Vietnam era folks have many trust issues. For me, I'd share the idea with a non-threatening counselor at SCORE or a mentor program and get advice on protection there
In addition, you need to research online if any other company has created a similiar product first and make sure you have complete origionality first and if there are similiar products on the market, you need to do a feasability study on if there is actually a market for the product.
If you just have a new idea and not the actual product than you cannot patent an idea. I would suggest creating the product prototype first and then consider getting that a patent for the prototype. If you are a veteran then you are eligible for a Patriot Express loan if your credit is good. I would also suggest going online and doing research of organizations who develop and support new patents.
