Promoting my business' service to Voc Rehab
Posted by CombatVeteranVo... on November 12, 2009One of my business goals is to assist other service disabled veterans by teaching them a new skill. This skill would allow those who need it for thier disabilities to learn to operate a computer with their voice, and, if they are interested, to pursue a new career with that skill. This skill allows individuals to work from home in many instances.
One of the places I thought to start to offer these services is through Voc Rehab. Can anyone assist me with the proper method to approach Voc Rehab with my ideas and services? I know that Voc Rehab pays consultants and contractors to perform the OJT type of work.
If anyone has knowledge about working with Voc Rehab, I would like to hear about it, along with any experiences you may have had. Thank you.

I would also call a few past customers of voc rehab to fine tune your plans
I would suggest you go right to the top and work your way down to the small business officer at that unit. The head of the program is Ruth Fanning. They have a couple different programs: Coming Home to Work; Vet Success; and a pilot going on at the University of South Florida at Tampa. I would start at their website: www.vetsuccess.gov.
