After locating the nearest office of the Small Business Administration near you, from the following resource, you'll ask the office to provide you a list of "Certified Development Corporations" (CDCs)they work with. The CDC acts as in interface between you and lenders. As you might imagine, "everybody's got an idea for business," so it is the unwritten job of the CDC to somewhat prequalify you.
